SM Town Live World Tour III in Los Angeles

May 24, 2012

On May 20, SM Town World Tour III kicked off in California, visiting LA for the second time after the label’s first stateside family concert in 2010.

Before taking the stage, representative members of each group met with press, addressing topics like K-pop’s ever-increasing popularity overseas, upcoming tour plans, and yes, even Jessica’s recent appearance on ESPN for her hilarious opening pitch at a baseball game.

BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), and SM’s newest two-part addition EXO delivered impressive performances throughout the night, and even spiced up their repertoire from last year’s tour with new special stages, including Changmin and Kyuhyun’s serenade to a lucky fan with Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are,” Key, Amber, and Kris’ cover of “Like a G6,” and Onew and Luna’s duet with High School Musical‘s “Can I Have This Dance?”

Like last year’s show at Madison Square Garden, the night came to a close with all the artists singing along to H.O.T’s “Hope,” as they thanked their fans a hundred times over for coming out to see them once again.
