This year’s Seoulsonic tour hit up Toronto’s Canadian Music Festival once again, headed by veteran punk pioneers Crying Nut, post-modern rockers 3rd Line Butterfly, and the electric trio of Yellow Monsters.
The show went by a new name this year, in addition to doubling in size, as CMF hosted their first annual Korea Night: K-Pop Wave x Seoulsonic! Joined by K-pop idols A Pink, Teen Top, Brian Joo, and G.Na, the three 2K12 Seoulsonic bands each played 20-25 minute sets during what became Canada’s largest Korean concert to date.
Best part of the night?
Brian Joo: “Who’s a Big Bang fan?” (screams from the crowd) “Damn… Who likes 2ne1?” (more screaming) “Well, give it up for — nah, I’m just playing, they’re in Korea.”
