When it comes to music, you can’t get much more romantic than duets. Many artists turn out some of their best work when they team up with another, regardless of their public relationship status. Ready for some sweet harmony and good ol’ radio romancin’? Here are ten charming K-pop duets that you need in your L-O-V-E playlists, like right now.

10. “ONE YEAR LATER”
SHINEE‘s ONEW & GIRLS’ GENERATION‘s JESSICA
Sad love song, “One Year Later,” is a fan favorite among SM TOWN followers. Onew’s smooth vocals compliment Jessica’s more delicate tone in this song about meeting a lover a year after breaking up. It’s OK to have your tissues ready for this one, there’s no judging here.
09. ” WHAT I’D DO IF I HAD I LOVER”
G.NA & RAIN
G.NA’s debut made waves on the K-pop scene, not just with her trademark beautiful face, body and voice, but also with this sweet collaboration alongside veteran artist (and resident scene heartthrob), Rain, on her first album. While typical couples may finish each other’s sentences, these two (make-believe) lovebirds up the ante by finishing each other’s dating to-do lists.
08. “TAKE OUT”
BROWN EYED GIRLS‘ GA IN & RA.D
Brown Eyed Girls’ Ga In and talented producer Ra.D joined forces on LOEN Tree’s summer project album for this audio gem. To the tune of light jazz with samba influences weaved in, Ga In and Ra.D lament over their lunch date being canceled due to their busy schedules. It’s all good though, because until they meet again next time, they’ll just order “take out” on each others’ love. Bossanova in my K-pop? Yes, please.
JUNIEL & CNBLUE‘s YONGHWA
CNBLUE’s Jung Yongwha graciously composed this sweet love song for cute singer-songwriter Juniel for her debut effort, My First June. Aren’t they just precious with their romantic road trip with their acoustic guitars? This chill, Jason Mraz-like duet is like a sigh of defeat after realizing you’re hopelessly in love… with this song.
06. “TO THE BEAUTIFUL YOU”
GIRLS’ GENERATION‘s TIFFANY & SUPER JUNIOR‘s KYUHYUN
Kyuhyun and Tiffany joined forces in this OST track for the SM Entertainment-produced idol drama, To the Beautiful You. Despite being the secondary love theme for the drama’s main couple, this track deserves first place in terms of emotionally conveying the dizzying whirlwind of hopes, fears and anticipation and that is young love.
05. “WE FELL IN LOVE”
2AM‘s JO KWON & BROWN EYED GIRLS‘s GA IN
Popular “fake marraige” variety show We Got Married has had their fair share of adorable celebrity pairings during its run. However, very few can hold a candle to the Adam (short) couple: Jo Kwon and Ga In. When they combined their immense popularity on the show with their superb vocal talents in 2010, the two became an adorable, chart-topping force to be reckoned with. They’ve since been replaced as cast members, but “We Fell in Love” remains the most popular collaboration associated with the program to date.
04. “ALL FOR YOU”
A PINK‘s EUNJI & SEO IN GUK
This cover of COOL’s ’90s hit was recorded for the Answer Me 1997 OST, in which Eunji and Seo In Guk are cast as the destined-for-each-other main couple. The show’s setting is the birthplace of modern K-pop— late ’90s South Korea—creating the perfect vehicle to reintroduce pop hits of the past to today’s audience. Ah, nostalgia.
03. “HOW DID WE GET”
LEE HYORI & BIG BANG‘s DAESUNG
Sexy K-pop diva Lee Hyori matched tunes with Big Bang’s powerful vocalist Daesung for this impressive cover. When the two finally appeared on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook for a live performance, the pair sang it so passionately that speculation arose regarding their real-life relationship status. Careful, you two, don’t set the stage on fire.
IU & 2AM‘s SEULONG
We dare you to make through this song without breaking into a smile at least once. IU and Seulong nag each other into oblivion in this upbeat pop duet. There are a few break-up moments lyrically, but they sing so happily in the MV that it’s easy to forget that two-thirds of the song is about deciding to call it quits.
ZHANG LI YIN & XIA
The number one spot in this list goes to Zhang Li Yin and Xia’s “Timeless,” a cover of a single from American Idol spinoff movie, From Justin to Kelly. Not only does the remake do the original some serious justice, the two music videos (part 2 here) perfectly set up an elaborate tale of timeless and tragic love. You’re definitely going to need more tissues.
