Here’s a follow-up to last week’s announcement of the return of YG Entertainment’s label-wide concert series: hard dates for the kick-off performances!
Concert-goers at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan will be the first to see YG FAMILY 2014 WORLD TOUR performances on April 12 and 13, followed by concerts at the Tokyo Dome on May 3 and 4. The month-long gap between shows suggests that the tour schedule may be spread out around promotions for upcoming music releases and 2NE1′s solo world tour. Of course, it’s also possible that there are tour stops in between that have yet to be announced.
Big ticket artists PSY, Big Bang, 2NE1, and Epik High will will share the stage with rookie acts Lee Hi and WINNER in the latest incarnation of the YG Family tour, which is the company’s first multi-artist live series since the 15th Anniversary Korea-Japan YG Family Concert back in 2011/2012.
Hopefully, the 2014 tour will also bring the whole YG gang back Stateside for the first time since the 2006 Family tour, but, as always with YG, we’ll just have to wait and see.
And maybe do a rain dance.
