Since we’ve waited two years for “Dancing Queen” Son Dam Bi, we can probably survive another month. The new album was scheduled for a July release, but due to the 14-episode extension of her drama Light and Shadow, the date has since been moved to August.

Light and Shadow began airing in November 2011 and was supposed to wrap in May. Son Dam Bi planned to return to the music industry after her acting gig, which accounted for the original July comeback, and subsequent push-back after the extension. Hey, if you have to blame anyone for the delay, go ahead and take it up with the lady for being part of a successful drama cast.

Any August releases are going to have to compete with the 2012 London Olympics, but Pledis Entertainment wants to stick with the plan of dropping the album after Light and Shadow finishes airing.  A representative from Pledis stated, “As this is her first comeback in a while, she is aiming to perfect her comeback preparation. Although her comeback has been delayed, we will take advantage of the extra time to better prepare for it.” (via Nate)
