Serbian singer Jelena Karleusa recently released her single, “Muškarac koji mrzi gene,” which raised a few eyebrows because of the similarity to SHINee’s “Lucifer.”

Netizens quickly noticed that the melody and certain parts of “Muškarac koji mrzi gene” were almost identical to “Lucifer.”

SM Entertainment responded to the controversy by initiating a joint copyright violation investigation with the U.S publisher on the 6th.

The company chose to open a joint investigation with the U.S publisher because “Lucifer” was a U.S and Korean composition.
