While we really don’t need much more proof that the Hallyu Wave has touched down all over the world, it’s still exciting to see the effects of such a global phenomenon! Six Korean groups have had their Japanese music videos and albums nominated for several categories in the 2012 MTV Japan Video Music Awards.
Nominated for Best Group Video: “I’m Your Man” – 2PM
Nominated for Best New Artist Award: “In My Head” CN BLUE and “I Am the Best” – 2NE1
Nominated for Best Choreography: “MR. TAXI” – Girls’ Generation
Nominated for Best Video Award: “Lucifer” – SHINee
Nominated for Best Album: “Girls’ Generation” – Girls’ Generation and “Super Girl” – KARA
