March saw JYJ hit Chile with a vengeance. Not soon after, Xia Junsu‘s Tarantallegra was one of the many things that cemented JYJ’s popularity in South America overall. But what do Chilean music charts have to show for it?
ETC-TV Pop, one of Chile’s leading internationally savvy networks, has crowned Xia Junsu’s Tarantallegra number one on their music charts. The popular channel, which began as a children’s network, hopped on board the Japanese anime train back in 2000. Eventually, Korean programs surfaced in March of this year, making ETC-TV Pop Chile’s main source for Korean entertainment.
And now, Junsu’s hit the top of their music ranking chart for his daring solo album. But we’re not all that surprised because Tarantallegra is also crazy popular in Japan, China and even Germany. Want a refresher on Chile’s no. 1 fave? Take another look at ”Tarantallegra.” Felicitaciones, Junsu!
