The overnight viral sensation sweeping YouTube, CNN and a ton of celebrity Twitters has finally gotten its creator a very special phone call. YG Entertainment‘s “Gangnam Style” powerhouse Psy has been contacted by none other than Justin Bieber‘s manager at Island Records.
We’ll wait for you to pick your jaw off the floor. Sure enough, the “Gangnam” wave has garnered the interests of many on the international music scene. But according to YG, who was quoted as saying, “It is true that we received a call from Justin Bieber’s manager,” Scooter Braun looks particularly interested and might be ready for a collaboration. The 31-year old talent manager, made famous for representing Bieber, Usher and “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen, freaked when he caught wind of the viral sensation.
Despite his excitement, nothing official has been set for Psy’s possible break in the states. In the meantime, he’s got plenty to do as he prepares for a Japanese debut at the end of September. “Gangnam Style” sounds a bit better than “Rokbongi Style” right?
