Just last week, G-Dragon hyped up excitement for his first solo effort in almost three years, by releasing the music video for his pre-released single, “One of a Kind.” At midnight KST on September 1, GD dropped the lead single off the album, “That XX,” which features an acoustic guitar sound, compelling — but explicit— lyrics and a cameo from Jennie Kim, a member of YG Entertainment’s upcoming girl group.
Even though Big Bang’s fearless leader voluntarily restricted his newest single 19+ version because of its strong language, a censored version of the music video was uploaded to Big Bang’s YouTube channel for younger fans who were also anticipating G-Dragon’s comeback.
YG Entertainment announced that they would be uploading a 15+ version of the MV yesterday, stating “We decided to solve the problems in the lyrics of “That XX” with censored beeps [in the music video].” (via enewsworld)
Fear not, all ye who wish to hear the original; The unaltered, 19+ version of “That XX” will be released as is with the artist’s creative license intact.
