Earlier this year in February, Infinite gave their very first official concert in Korea. When the First Invasion tour rocked Seoul that month, Infinite’s two members— Dongwoo and Hoya— performed as a hip-hop duo for Verbal Jint’s “You Look Good” as well as for their own song, “Crying.” Now, having seen a sneak peek of their dynamic harmony in action, we wait with baited breath for Infinite H’s (the “H” stands for hip-hop) debut album set for sometime next year.
Apparently this ‘new’ Infinite H sub-group had actually been in the works long before Dongwoo and Hoya took to the stage last February. “Crying,” the song they performed together, was originally from Infinite’s 2011 album Over the Top, and back then the song had been credited as an Infinite H number featuring Baby Soul’s vocals. So by the time Hoya showed off his rhymes and Dongwoo backed up his comrade’s licks on stage, they were already prepared.
Infinite recently wrapped up their Japanese promotions this summer, leaving Hoya and Dongwoo to focus on their new material. In fact, they immediately jumped into the studio to begin recording their new album. And the good news is, Woollim plans on dropping this duo’s debut album early next year. Can we get an exact date though?
Are you psyched that Infinite’s main dancers are now delving into hip-hop? Chime in…
