Big Bang, Super Junior & Xia Junsu to Release Repackaged Albums

Big Bang, Super Junior & Xia Junsu to Release Repackaged Albums

By Janine Bower | August 2, 2012

It looks like the summer of comebacks is anything but over. Coming at you with more goodies than we could have ever imagined, JYJ‘s Xia Junsu, Super Junior and Big Bang have got some serious treats lined up for August.

First in line are the “Sexy Free & Single” men of Super Junior. Working against the clock before leader Leeteuk begins his military service (as all Korean males must do for a period of 2 years), the repackaged version of Sexy Free & Single, titled SPY, will hit the digital shelves on August 5.

And just so you know, the writing efforts of member’s Leeteuk and Donghae—plus a collaboration with Urban Zakapa‘s Kim Soon Il — on four new tracks has us beyond excited.

Next up is the repackaged album for Xia Junsu’s Tarantallegra. Mum’s the word on the exact release date, but apparently mid-August will see Tarantallegra rising again.

As his first solo effort brought about an avant-garde image revolution, Junsu’s repackage is a gift to international fans for his world tour. So what kind of surprises are we looking at? The repackaged album will include a single and an MV entirely in English (recorded and shot in Los Angeles), which features some A-list collaborators. Try Bruce Automatic Vanderveer from Sony Music, who has collaborated with Christina Aguilera and The Wanted, and MV director Marc Klasfeld, who has worked with Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Far East Movement.

But what’s got us especially pumped this summer is Big Bang’s Alive 2012 Making Collection. Complete with three DVDs, a 150-page photo book, hi-def MVs, never-before-seen footage, music performances as well as coverage from their YG on Air, the collection will drop on August 22. Be sure to check here for more information about the DVD collection.
