Still on the fence and need another great reason for you to pick up tickets to the ALIVE Tour 2012 concert nearest you? Big Bang is sharing the love by donating part of ticket proceeds to UNICEF Korea. All the more reason to go—but you were already planning on it, right?
On June 14, YG Entertainment representative Yang Min Suk and UNICEF Korea secretary general Ryu Jong Soo signed an agreement that will donate part of the tour’s profits towards vaccinations for underprivileged children in Africa. The math works out so that each ticket sale will vaccinate a child, totaling up to an extimated 600,000 children. Limited collaboration merchandise will be sold at the concerts as well, and the profits from those will also go to UNICEF’s efforts.
Big Bang’s leader, G-Dragon commented on the agreement. “With the love we’re receiving in different countries through this world tour, we wanted to return that love to all parts of the world and so we decided to sponsor UNICEF. We hope the donated proceeds will provide vaccinations for many children, so they can grow healthy and without contracting illnesses.” (via enewsworld)
