Would you like to hear our pick for the best of the most recent rookie debuts? Look no further than the bangin’ smash of rookie group 24K, and their debut MV, “Hurry Up.”
Just in this music video alone, 24K makes it clear that they’ve got the energy, the drive and the musical strength to make a lasting impression. And we’re willing to bet that this isn’t the last we’ve seen of 24K. Their MV for “Hurry Up” just sounds and looks too damn cool.
The music video has a lot of elements that stand out. Think: finger tutting, break dancing, plus 24K’s willingness to sacrifice vocal stamina for a grungy chorus. What’s also really cool is their energy.
24K as a group feels as powerful as the rookies of B.A.P, with the wildcard playfulness of a group like Block B. This amalgamation of funk and style blasts them into the K-pop market sans issue, and comes off like one of the more memorable debuts we’ve seen so far. Much like 2NE1‘s debut MV, “Fire,” or EXO‘s “MAMA,” 24K’s “Hurry Up” serves up the punch we like to see from a rookie group with heart.
